Thank you for the elaborate information about hotels in Maldives, we are visiting the place in September for our 5th anniversary, from your experience will St Regis be the best option. We water to dive and do other water games. And how can we make it more fun & memorable.

Hi Ashley! This is a great question and something I spent a LOT of time researching (mostly through 10-year-old TripAdvisor forums lol) Based on everything I know, you definitely should not to try to bring alcohol in (which I was initially hoping to do before I read all the forums.) Since the maldives are a dry country, there are signs everywhere at the airport warning you about not bringing booze in your bags. We found that ordering bottles of wine gave us more bang for our buck than cocktails, which were sometimes hit or miss + very expensive. In terms of dress code: there definitely isn’t one! It’s very resort casual even at the nicer restaurants on property. You can pretty much be as casual or as dressed up as you want.

Hi! This was absolutely perfect and so helpful! I'm planning my honeymoon to the Maldives in July 2021 (fingers crossed everything is normal). We will be using punts and staying at the Conrad. Do you have any tips or insight on purchasing bottles of alcohol for the room? Or is it best to just use the bars on property? Also, do you know anything about dress codes while at restaurants on property? Thanks so much

The Maldives is an amazing destination for a honeymoon. I have always dreamed about going there. Hopefully soon. Will definitely use your guide since so comprehensive and looks amazing.

Hi Paulette! I would say St Regis 100%. Not even a question! I liked the W but it couldnt even be compared to the experience at St Regis!
